We have had a very mild winter. Too mild, if you ask me. When we were about to move to Oswego — almost four years ago — Alex’s then future colleagues mentioned the big snow. It was the “look-to-the-side-and-mumble-while-shuffling-your-feet” kind of mention. They really, really wanted Alex here and did not want to say anything that would dissuade him from coming, but at the same time they are nice and honest people, so they did say it. Little did they know that something like this would never dissuade him. We like big snow. We love snow. So, WHERE is our snow?
We went searching for it elsewhere in the state, since this winter it did not come here (though supposedly Oswego gets enough to not let you open your front door). I haven’t posted for a long time, so here are some nice snowy pictures to start remedying the situation.

The greatest waterfall of them all (at least on this continent).

There is even some snow if you know where to look.

Salmon River Falls: you don’t have to be great in order to be special.

Salmon River Falls: (some little) snow and much beauty.

Salmon River Falls: something like this needs no caption.
